Radio AF, Sweden's largest student radio station, is a non-profit organization for students and members of the Academic Society (Akademiska Föreningen) in Lund. At Radio AF, both live radio and podcasts are produced from the station’s facilities in the AF Building. Radio AF is part of the Academic Society (AF), the Swedish Student Radio Association (SRS), and Folkuniversitetet. The station broadcasts live online 24/7, every day of the week. Radio AF has approximately 100–200 members and 30 editorial teams that broadcast live shows and create programs across a wide range of categories.
Radio AF organizes fun activities for its members every semester, such as banquets and pub nights hosted by the station's social events managers (sexmästare). Additionally, the station provides the DJ performance in Stadsparken on the last day of April and hosts a marathon broadcast for Musikhjälpen every year.
The legally responsible publisher at Radio AF is the station manager, a democratically elected member who works full-time at the station for one year. In addition to the station manager, around 20 elected members are responsible for different aspects of the station’s operations. All leadership roles are elected during the station’s semester meetings, where all members have voting rights. The semester meetings are also open to proposals, where members can submit suggestions for changes and vote on them.
